By the end of April 2026, the Marrakech Menara International Airport recorded a remarkable increase of nearly 11% in air traffic, according to data from the National Airports Office. The office's statistics reveal that this airport welcomed 3,803,669 passengers during the first four months of the current year, compared to 3,432,643 passengers in the same period in 2025.
When analyzing the distribution of passenger traffic between domestic and international flights from January to April this year, it is evident that Marrakech Menara International Airport experienced a notable surge in international passengers. The airport welcomed 3,644,799 international travelers, reflecting a 10.09% increase from 3,310,835 in the previous year. Additionally, domestic flights saw a substantial rise, accommodating 158,870 passengers compared to 121,808 by the end of April 2025, marking an impressive growth of 30.43%.
April Passenger Statistics and Leading International Routes
In April alone, the number of travelers passing through Marrakech Menara Airport reached a total of 1,016,169, an increase of 8.42% from the 937,260 passengers recorded in April 2025. The statistics for the top five international routes during this month highlight the airport's importance in connecting Morocco with major destinations. The Marrakech-Paris-Orly route led with 78,229 passengers, followed by the Mohammed V/Paris-Orly route with 73,481 passengers. Other significant routes included Marrakech/Paris CDG with 60,667 passengers, Mohammed V/Paris-CDG with 52,158 passengers, and Marrakech/London Gateway with 48,233 passengers.
These results underscore the dynamic growth of air transport at Marrakech Menara Airport, reinforcing its status as one of the key gateways for tourism into the Kingdom of Morocco. On a national level, commercial air traffic across the country’s airports reached 12,336,962 passengers by the end of April 2026, reflecting a 9.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
