Marrakech Menara International Airport has reported an impressive increase of 11.68% in passenger traffic by the end of March 2026, compared to the same period in 2025. This notable growth is attributed to data released by the National Airports Office, highlighting a robust recovery in air travel.
According to the statistics published for air traffic in March 2026, the airport welcomed a total of 2,786,781 travelers during the first three months of the year, a significant rise from the 2,495,383 passengers recorded at the end of March 2025. This surge in numbers underscores the airport's pivotal role as a key gateway for tourism in Morocco.
The distribution of passenger traffic reveals that international flights accounted for the majority of the activity, with 2,682,672 international passengers recorded, marking a growth of 10.99%. Meanwhile, domestic flights saw an even more substantial increase of 36.47%, attracting 104,109 passengers during the same period.
In March alone, the airport served 1,014,459 passengers, a remarkable increase of 13.70% compared to the 892,190 passengers from March 2025. This monthly performance indicates a strong rebound in travel demand.
Among the top international routes for March, the Marrakech-Menara to Paris-Orly route ranked second with 70,466 passengers, accounting for 2.60% of the traffic. This was closely followed by the Mohammed V to Jeddah route, which recorded 73,215 passengers or 2.71%. The impressive results reflect the dynamic nature of air transport at Marrakech-Menara Airport, which continues to be one of the most significant entry points for tourists visiting Morocco. On a national level, Moroccan airports reported a total commercial air traffic volume of 8,913,041 passengers by the end of March 2026, marking an increase of 11.15% compared to the same period last year, further illustrating the robust growth of the aviation sector in the country.
