Marrakech-Menara Airport Hits Major Passenger Milestone
As of the end of April 2026, Marrakech-Menara International Airport has successfully welcomed a remarkable total of 1,016,169 passengers. This figure represents an impressive growth of 8.42% when compared to the same period last year, according to the latest statistics released by the National Airports Office (ONDA). This surge in passenger traffic underscores the airport's pivotal role as one of Morocco's primary gateways for tourism.
Delving deeper into the statistics, international passenger traffic accounted for 961,408 travelers, marking a 7.81% increase from the previous year when 891,740 international passengers were recorded. Meanwhile, domestic travel saw even more substantial growth, with 54,761 passengers flying within Morocco during the same period, a significant rise of 20.30% from last year's 45,520 domestic travelers.
Throughout the first four months of the year, a total of 3,803,669 passengers passed through Marrakech-Menara Airport, up from 3,432,643 during the same timeframe in 2025, reflecting an overall increase of 10.81%. Notably, the most popular international route in April 2026 was between Marrakech and Paris Orly, serving 78,229 passengers. Other significant routes included Casablanca-Mohammed V to Paris Orly with 73,481 passengers, Marrakech to Paris Charles-de-Gaulle with 60,667 passengers, and Casablanca-Mohammed V to Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, which accommodated 52,158 travelers. The Marrakech to London Gatwick route also demonstrated strong performance with 48,233 passengers.
