On the morning of Wednesday, March 25th, the judicial police in the Marrakech Security Division successfully apprehended three individuals, one of whom was subject to national search warrants, on suspicion of involvement in a case related to the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances. The suspects were arrested in the rural area of 'Ain Jadid,' located on the outskirts of Marrakech, while they were caught in the act of possessing and distributing illegal drugs. During the operation, law enforcement officials discovered a substantial quantity of narcotics, including 3,300 pills of a medical drug known as 'Rivotril' and 160 grams of cocaine.
Additionally, the search led to the seizure of 9.6 kilograms of hashish, along with a white weapon, an electronic scale, a car, and a motorcycle, which are suspected to have been utilized in facilitating this criminal activity. The arrested individuals are currently under police custody, awaiting further investigation overseen by the competent public prosecutor's office, aiming to uncover all circumstances and details surrounding this case and to identify any potential extensions of this criminal operation.
