The police department of the city of Marrakech has successfully executed a well-coordinated operation that resulted in the arrest of three individuals suspected of being involved in the illegal trade of traditional alcohol, commonly referred to as 'water of life', within the historic neighborhoods of the city. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities that threaten public safety.
During this operation, authorities seized over 70 liters of the illicit substance, which was intended for unauthorized distribution. The circumstances of the seizure suggested a well-organized operation focusing on the distribution of this contraband within various districts of the old city.
In a related investigation, the security forces were able to recover a stolen motorcycle, following the identification and apprehension of the main suspect. This individual, along with the others arrested, has been placed under provisional detention while further inquiries are conducted under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor's office.
