Significant Drug Bust in Marrakech
In a remarkable operation last Tuesday, the judicial police of Marrakech successfully dismantled two distinct networks involved in cocaine trafficking within a span of just a few hours. Authorities arrested four individuals, including two brothers, and seized several dozen grams of hard drugs, alongside weighing equipment and a vehicle utilized for drug deliveries. The first operation took place in the Hay Chatoui area, where two young men in their twenties were caught red-handed possessing 28 grams of cocaine, one of whom has a prior criminal record. The second case unfolded as police set a trap on Boulevard Mohammed VI, near a shopping center, leading to the apprehension of a young man. This investigation subsequently extended to the neighborhoods of Les Jardins de Chérifia and Hay Lmhamid, where detectives traced the network back to the older brother, identified as the primary supplier. In total, around one hundred grams of cocaine were confiscated from the two siblings. All four suspects have been placed in custody for further investigation.
