Marrakech Hosts Special Tribute for National Security Retirees
Marrakech is set to host a special tribute ceremony honoring retirees from the National Security forces, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the National Security. This initiative aims to recognize the invaluable services and sacrifices made by both men and women in security throughout their professional careers dedicated to serving the nation and its citizens. The event is organized by the Bsatine Association for Social and Cultural Works, in collaboration with the National Security Retirees Association in Marrakech, and with the support of the Al-Manara District Council and the Marrakech municipal council. This effort is part of a broader initiative to instill a culture of recognition and gratitude towards those who have contributed for decades to maintaining security, stability, and public order.
The commemorative event seeks to highlight the distinguished professional journeys of National Security retirees while recalling the pivotal roles they played in protecting citizens and their properties and tackling various security challenges that the nation has faced over the years. The ceremony is expected to attract numerous civil society figures, elected officials, and members of the National Security family, along with the retirees being honored and their families, all set in a celebratory atmosphere that reflects values of loyalty, appreciation, and gratitude.
This honorary event will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting at 11 AM at the Cultural House in the Hay Hassani area of Marrakech. A group of National Security retirees will be recognized for their dedication and commitment to their professional duties and service to the homeland. This occasion serves as an opportunity to reaffirm pride in the pioneering role played by the National Security institution since its inception and to commend the continuous efforts of its members, both active and retired, towards enhancing the security and stability of the Kingdom of Morocco.
