In an ongoing effort to combat crime and ensure public safety, the field research team, in direct coordination with the security leadership of the Gueliz area in Marrakech, launched a comprehensive security operation in the early hours of Tuesday, May 5. This operation targeted several vital points within the region.
The intensive field interventions resulted in the arrest of 47 individuals involved in various legal offenses and infractions. Among those apprehended were 20 individuals found in a state of intoxication, 9 accused of inciting corruption, and 6 others for possession and consumption of narcotic substances. Additionally, the operation also led to the arrest of 8 individuals for soliciting in the vicinity of Mohammed V Street, along with 4 minors who were held for verification of their legal status.
Upon conclusion of the operation, all detainees were transported to the relevant police stations to prepare official reports, paving the way for their presentation to the judicial authorities and the completion of necessary legal proceedings under the supervision of the public prosecutor.
