Mehdi Bensaïd Celebrates Electoral Success in Rabat
The preliminary results of the legislative elections held on September 23, 2026, are being gradually released across Morocco, following the closure of polling stations at 7 PM. In Rabat, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication, Mehdi Bensaïd, a member of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM), has successfully secured a seat in the House of Representatives for the Rabat-Ocean constituency.
According to the official figures announced after the counting process in this district, PAM emerged as the front-runner with a total of 5,772 votes, significantly ahead of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), which garnered 3,583 votes. The National Rally of Independents (RNI) followed in third place with 2,140 votes, while the Istiqlal Party received 2,025 votes, placing fourth.
This outcome positions Mehdi Bensaïd among the first candidates to have their election results confirmed in this round of voting, as the processes of centralization and announcement of results continue in various regions throughout the country. Authorities are persistently updating the public with results as the counting progresses.
