Bringing Consular Services Closer to Moroccan Citizens
The Moroccan Consulate General based in Tarragona has announced the launch of a new mobile consular service day in Lleida, aimed at facilitating access for Moroccan citizens living in this area. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the provision of consular services to those who reside far from traditional consular offices, thereby minimizing the need for long-distance travel and expediting administrative procedures.
According to official information, the mobile consulate will be set up on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Mariola Civic Center, located at 1 Artur Mor Street. The service will be available from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this event, various services will be provided, including passport issuance, administrative document management, legalization of signatures and documents, and the issuance of personal certificates. It is important to note that for certain procedures, prior appointments will be required.
The consulate encourages the Moroccan community in Lleida and nearby towns to take advantage of this opportunity, emphasizing the significance of such initiatives in strengthening the bond between the administration and its citizens residing abroad. This outreach effort, spearheaded by Consul Ikram Chahine, reflects a commitment to improving accessibility and responsiveness to the needs of Moroccan nationals living outside their home country.
