Mohamed Boclet: From Overcoming Dyslexia to Championing Mind Mapping and Entrepreneurship

A Journey from Struggle to Success

Born in the Paris region to parents hailing from Temsamane in the Rif mountains, Mohamed Boclet spent his formative years in Seine-Saint-Denis, surrounded by six sisters. Reflecting on his early educational experiences, he recounts a challenging journey that distinctly set him apart from his peers. His academic struggles began with repeating the first grade and enduring a significant setback that led to his placement in a remedial class. It was during this tumultuous period that he was diagnosed with dyslexia. "Before that, I had always been the pupil sitting at the back of the classroom, but the real issue was my dyslexia rather than my ability to learn," he shares, emphasizing the pivotal moment that shaped his educational path.

Despite these challenges, Boclet demonstrated remarkable aptitude in scientific subjects, particularly mathematics and physics. After achieving a scientific baccalaureate, he ventured through various odd jobs before his parents encouraged him to return to education. He subsequently graduated with a degree in energy engineering from the prestigious École nationale supérieure d’arts et métiers (ENSAM) in Paris. Following eight years of professional experience in his field, primarily in Paris, he relocated to Montpellier, where his transformative journey truly began.

Championing Speed Reading and Learning Techniques

Upon settling in Montpellier, Boclet's life took an unexpected turn when he discovered speed-reading workshops, thanks to his wife's encouragement. "I had my prejudices, but she insisted that I give it a try. That’s when I discovered another way to read quickly, to memorize and to learn. It helped me understand that reading can be accessible, thanks to techniques that improve concentration," he recalls, highlighting how this newfound skill reshaped his perception of learning. With determination, he decided to participate in the French speed-reading championships, achieving a remarkable transformation over the years. Initially finishing near the bottom, he progressed to ninth place in his second year, and eventually became the French champion in his third attempt, qualifying for the world competition.

Boclet's impressive journey culminated in him becoming the world runner-up in speed reading, achieving the feat of reading a 170-page book in just 17 minutes, while scoring an impressive 18 out of 20 in comprehension and memorization assessments. Concurrently, he founded an association dedicated to sharing effective learning methods, which led him to transition into a full-time career in training and education. Passionate about disseminating knowledge, Boclet has authored three books, with his most recent publication, "Votre cerveau va vous sauver" (Robert Laffont), set to release on April 9, 2026. His mission today revolves around empowering individuals to regain control over their memory and cognitive abilities, teaching them how to enhance their learning, memorization, and retention skills.

Known for developing the "Boclet method", which focuses on boosting concentration for more effective reading and memorization, he has dedicated his first book to exploring various learning techniques. His subsequent publications delve deeper into his methodology, offering readers structured approaches to information retention and strategies to overcome cognitive barriers.

Given his familial connections, Boclet has maintained a close relationship with Morocco throughout his life. Returning to his parents’ homeland every summer has become a cherished tradition, and as an adult, he continues to traverse between France and Morocco, engaging in entrepreneurial ventures. His latest project, Prime Golf, inaugurated on May 20, 2026, in Marrakech, embodies an innovative concept that seeks to democratize golf while embracing eco-responsibility. This initiative aims to transform the perception of golf from an elitist sport into an accessible and inclusive activity, merging sports, technology, leisure, culture, and lifestyle into a cohesive experience.

Boclet envisions Prime Golf as more than just a recreational space; it is designed to create an interactive environment with synthetic turf that conserves water and prioritizes local employment, thereby fostering economic and social impacts within the community. The venue offers a variety of engaging challenges and utilizes advanced technology to enhance the golfing experience. With a commitment to inclusivity, Boclet and his team have established a pricing model that allows families to enjoy the sport together at an affordable rate. With aspirations to expand the Prime Golf concept across Africa and in other Moroccan cities, Boclet's vision not only encompasses leisure but also aims to introduce his effective learning methods to new audiences in Morocco.
