Moroccan Prime Minister: Launching Coordination Committee with Egypt to Boost Cooperation

Moroccan Prime Minister Highlights Strengthening Bilateral Relations with Egypt

In a significant move aimed at enhancing bilateral relations, Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch announced the inaugural session of the Moroccan-Egyptian Coordination and Follow-Up Committee, asserting that this initiative will inject greater momentum into cooperation between the two fraternal nations. The Prime Minister shared his remarks on the social media platform X, revealing his visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt at the helm of a high-level governmental delegation, specifically to lead the first session of this vital committee.

Upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, Akhannouch was warmly welcomed by his Egyptian counterpart, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly. This formal reception included a ceremonial display of honor, where a guard of honor was presented, alongside the playing of the national anthems of both Morocco and Egypt. The event was attended by Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohamed Farid, who led the welcoming delegation, as well as the Moroccan Ambassador to Cairo, Mohamed Ait Ali.

The discussions scheduled for tomorrow will involve bilateral meetings between the two Prime Ministers at the new government headquarters in the capital. Following this, they will preside over an extensive meeting with delegations from both countries as part of the first session of the Moroccan-Egyptian Coordination and Follow-Up Committee. Additionally, they are expected to witness the signing of several documents across various sectors aimed at bolstering bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
