Moroccan Teams Embark on Champions League Journey

The Moroccan representatives in the CAF Champions League, RS Berkane and FC FUS, have learned their paths in the new season of the tournament following the draw for the preliminary rounds held at the African Football Confederation (CAF) headquarters in Cairo on Thursday, August 6, 2026. RS Berkane has been granted a bye from the first preliminary round due to their continental ranking, allowing them to directly enter the competition from the second preliminary round. They are set to face the winner of the match between Sierra Leone's Star Sport Academy and Gambian Medina United, aiming to secure a place in the group stage.

On the other hand, FC FUS will kick off their campaign in the tournament against Burkina Faso's Rahimo FC during the first preliminary round. Should they advance, they will meet the winner of the match between Togo's ASCK and Ivory Coast's ASEC Mimosas in the second preliminary round.

The matches for the first preliminary round are scheduled to take place on September 4, 5, and 6, 2026, with the return legs set for September 11, 12, and 13. Meanwhile, the second preliminary round matches will be held from October 16 to 18, with the return matches on October 23 and 25, 2026, determining which teams will progress to the group stage.
