Fes – The Morocco Fassi football team kicked off their campaign to defend the title in the professional national championship “Inwi” for the first division with a solid victory against their visitors, Nahda Zemamra, winning by a score of two to one. This match took place on Sunday evening at the sports complex in Fes, as part of the first round of the tournament.
The first goal for Morocco Fassi was scored by the newcomer to the yellow fortress, John Mabasa, who netted a penalty in the 59th minute, followed shortly by a second goal from Anas Mahrawi in the 64th minute. Nahda Zemamra managed to get on the scoreboard with a goal from Jawad Al-Saghir in the 48th minute, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome of the match.
This victory allowed Morocco Fassi to secure their first three points of the season, while Nahda Zemamra left the match without any points following their opening game.
The competition continues on Sunday evening with a match between Kawkab Marrakech and Hassania Agadir. Meanwhile, the highly anticipated clash between the Royal Army and Raja Casablanca has been postponed to a later date.
