Morocco Fassi's President Questions Why Benjida Would Join Al Ahly

Morocco Fassi's Stance on Player Transfers

Omar Bennis, the president of the sports company for Morocco Fassi, recently expressed his club's position regarding the ongoing interest in some of their key players, particularly Sofiane Benjida. In a statement made to the first channel, Bennis emphasized the club's commitment to retaining all of their essential players during the summer transfer window, especially in light of the speculation surrounding Benjida's potential transfer to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Bennis stated, "All of our key players want to stay, and we also desire their continuity. We have not received any official offer from Al Ahly for Sofiane Benjida." He further elaborated on the club's philosophy regarding player transfers, saying, "We have informed our players that if any of them wish to seek new opportunities that will help them develop and potentially move to a larger European club, they have the right to do so. However, I question why he would choose to move to an African club, like Al Ahly, who will not even participate in the African Champions League, whereas Morocco Fassi will be competing in the tournament."

In conclusion, Bennis remarked, "If any player receives a suitable offer that benefits the club financially, we will not close the door on their departure. As for Sofiane Benjida, he is contracted with Morocco Fassi until 2030, which includes a significant release clause." The expectation is that Al Ahly will announce the signing of Benjida in the coming hours after reaching a final agreement with Morocco Fassi to finalize the transfer.
