The Moroccan National Tourism Office is set to host the annual conference of Selectair, Belgium's leading network of travel agencies, from September 30 to October 4, 2026, at Tamuda Bay. This significant event will gather nearly 90 agencies along with their primary partners, showcasing Morocco's appeal to Belgian tourism professionals. According to an official statement, Morocco's collaboration with Selectair underscores the country’s growing status as a strategic market, particularly as it welcomed over a million Belgian tourists in 2025.

This annual gathering not only highlights Morocco's increasing attraction to Belgian travelers but also serves as an essential platform for enhancing the knowledge of travel agents regarding the Moroccan destination. Selectair aims to establish new business opportunities while promoting various travel offerings, ranging from beach tourism to cultural experiences, luxury travel, and tailor-made adventures. The presence of prominent partners, including TUI Belgium, Digitrips, and MSC Cruises, among others, further emphasizes the network's influence within the Belgian market, where Selectair generated approximately €310 million in revenue in 2025.

The event will also feature representatives from the Flemish Association of Travel Agencies (VVR), ensuring a comprehensive representation of the travel sector. By hosting this conference, the Moroccan National Tourism Office aims to not only promote the destination but also to broaden the perception of Belgian professionals regarding Morocco. With an increase in tourism from Belgium, which saw a 10% rise in visitors in 2025, and over 834,000 arrivals recorded by the end of July 2026, it is evident that the Belgian market holds significant potential for continued growth in Moroccan tourism.

Post-conference, Selectair plans to launch an extensive digital and press campaign focused on Morocco, ensuring the destination's visibility across various media platforms. This initiative aligns with the Moroccan National Tourism Office's goal of transforming the destination's visibility into tangible business opportunities, reinforcing the critical role of distribution networks in traveler choices. With aspirations to reach 1.4 million Belgian tourists in 2026 and an ambitious target of two million by 2030, Morocco's commitment to this strategic market is evident through the hosting of Selectair's conference, which combines training, destination experience, commercial activation, and media outreach.
