Morocco's Active Role in the Lumière Summit

The Moroccan delegation, led by Abdelaziz Boujdaini, the General Secretary of the Communication Sector, and Reda Benjelloun, the Director of the Moroccan Cinematic Center, exemplifies the country’s commitment to fostering international cooperation in the fields of cinema, audiovisual arts, and moving images. This participation reflects Morocco's desire to engage in meaningful dialogue centered on collaboration and the enhancement of cultural diversity.
Joining the Lumière Alliance
During the summit, Morocco proudly joined the "Lumière Alliance" as a founding member. This alliance aims to establish the first global network of national cinematic institutions from around the world, facilitating the exchange of experiences, best practices, and perspectives on the major challenges confronting the film industry. Morocco plans to leverage its expertise and experiences, as well as its strategic position as a crossroads between Africa, the Arab world, the Mediterranean region, and Europe.
Additionally, Morocco will participate in the "IRIS" program, which stands for the International Initiative for the Resilience of Independent Cinemas, along with an experimental program focused on image education. The announcement emphasizes Morocco's unwavering commitment to enhancing international cooperation in the realms of cinema and moving images.
