Recent statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy in Morocco have revealed an impressive surge in tourist arrivals, marking a record high that reflects a five percent increase compared to the same period in 2025. This equates to over 717,000 additional visitors flocking to the North African nation. The report highlighted that in September alone, more than 1.5 million tourists visited Morocco, representing an eight percent rise compared to the same month in 2025.

This remarkable growth underscores the resilience and continued appeal of Moroccan tourism, showcasing the country's ability to sustain its momentum even beyond peak travel periods. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister of Tourism, emphasized the ongoing dynamism of Moroccan tourism, asserting that the sector's long-term potential remains substantial. The ambitious target is set to attract 26 million tourists by the year 2030. Minister Ammor articulated the challenge ahead: “The focus now is on maintaining this trajectory while generating more value, creating employment opportunities, and enhancing prospects across all our regions.”
