Morocco to Compete Against Algeria in U-17 AFCON Qualifiers
The Moroccan national team for players under 17 years old is preparing to face their Algerian counterparts in its opening match of the North African Football Union qualifying tournament, which will take place in Tunisia this November. This competition serves as a pathway for teams to qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
According to the draw conducted on Tuesday and published on the official Facebook page of the union, Morocco will also encounter the Egyptian team in their second match. In the subsequent matches, Morocco is scheduled to face Tunisia and Libya, respectively. These qualifiers will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Sousse and the Mustapha Ben Jannet Stadium in Monastir, and they are crucial in determining which two teams will advance to the finals of the AFCON.
