Morocco Welcomes North American Travel Leaders for Historic USTOA Meeting

In a significant milestone for tourism collaboration, Morocco has proudly hosted the 2026 USTOA Out of Country Meeting for the first time, bringing together approximately 50 influential figures from the North American travel sector. This distinguished group comprised board members, tour operator executives, and specialists in product development, all converging to explore the rich tapestry of Morocco's tourism offerings. The event, which took place in conjunction with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) from March 19 to March 29, showcased some of the country's most iconic destinations including the vibrant cities of Casablanca, Rabat, Fez, Tangier, Chefchaouen, and the majestic Marrakech. A pivotal board meeting held in Rabat on March 25 facilitated direct dialogue between American and Moroccan tourism professionals, emphasizing ONMT's strategic vision for penetrating the North American market and identifying immediate business opportunities.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy by Morocco to enhance its visibility within North American tour operator catalogs and to stimulate tourist arrivals in the lead-up to 2030. Concurrently, the event coincided with Morocco's active participation in the International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF) in Berlin from March 23 to March 25, where the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering spearheaded a national delegation aimed at showcasing lucrative hotel investment opportunities. Together, these engagements underscore Morocco's proactive stance in attracting both international travelers and foreign investment, particularly as the nation prepares for the spotlight of the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
