Comprehensive Enhancement of Morocco's Air Combat Capabilities

In December 2024, the program's combat capabilities were further bolstered when the United States approved the sale of up to 30 additional AIM-120C-8 missiles to Morocco, valued at approximately $88.37 million. These missiles provide enhanced beyond-visual-range engagement capabilities, aligning with a broader trend towards improving the integration of sensors, communications, armament, and networked operations. Upon completion of the delivery of the 25 new fighters, along with the upgrade of 23 Block 52+ aircraft to the F-16V standard, Morocco will possess a fleet of 48 fighter jets that are closely aligned in terms of technological structure and combat capabilities.
