Summer Beats at Morocco's Beach Festival
The Morocco Beach Festival, organized by Maroc Telecom, harmonized perfectly with the rhythm of summer, taking place from July 20 to August 21, 2026. Spanning from the picturesque town of Mdiq to the beautiful beaches of Saidia, with stops in Tangier and Al Hoceima, the festival welcomed over four million spectators. This year's event was characterized by a spirit of diversity, openness, and communication, successfully attracting audiences of all ages and backgrounds, united by a single passion: music.
A Platform for Musical Expression
Since its inception in 2002, the Morocco Beach Festival has established a unique identity, positioning itself as an inclusive event that uses musical diversity as a bridge to connect different social groups. This year’s programming was rich and varied, showcasing more than 120 local and international artists across an array of genres, including rap, hip-hop, chaabi, Amazigh music, raï, rkabda, fusion, Eastern music, and contemporary songs. Special attention was given to local talents, with each evening dedicated to a local band from the region, providing young artists an opportunity to share the stage with well-known names, thus fostering a sense of community and artistic collaboration.
The festival offered 60 musical events over several weeks, transforming beaches into open-air stages for a vibrant celebration of music and art. Noteworthy national celebrations such as the Throne Day, the anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, and Youth Day were highlighted, featuring exceptional performances designed specifically to honor these significant occasions, which attracted large crowds across various cities.
However, the festival experience extended beyond musical performances. Throughout the summer, the beaches became lively spaces for entertainment and cultural activities. Street performances and children’s activity zones provided families and beachgoers the chance to enhance their festival experience outside of evening shows. This diverse programming reflects Maroc Telecom's commitment to making the festival an event that brings together generations, allowing everyone to discover their own space, whether they are music enthusiasts, those seeking entertainment, or simply looking to enjoy quality time with family and friends.
Moreover, the festival not only celebrated music but also emphasized the importance of preserving our beaches and environment. Recognizing that the allure of the beaches is closely tied to their maintenance, the festival continued its commitment to environmental awareness, making summer a time for enjoyment as well as a reminder that protecting our natural heritage is everyone's responsibility. Maroc Telecom renewed its support for the "Clean Beaches 2026" initiative, overseen by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, a key partner of the event.
The festival also served as a unique platform for direct engagement with visitors, spreading awareness messages about the importance of coastal protection and responsible behaviors regarding cleanliness and health. Daily educational content was disseminated, encouraging public participation in these initiatives.
Over the years, the Morocco Beach Festival has become an essential event that enhances the attractiveness of the host cities. Local economic systems benefit greatly from the influx of visitors during the summer, impacting accommodations, restaurants, shops, tourism activities, and services. By consistently attracting large crowds to various coastal destinations across the kingdom, the festival contributes significantly to the allure of these regions during peak tourist season.
The success of this 22nd edition is, above all, a result of collective mobilization. Maroc Telecom expresses its gratitude to local authorities, artists, partners, technical and organizational teams, and all employees who contributed to the success of this event, as well as to the millions of visitors who attended throughout the summer. Through its enduring presence and openness to everyone, along with its ability to attract an ever-growing audience with diverse artistic programming, the Morocco Beach Festival has solidified its position within the cultural and summer landscape of the kingdom, becoming one of the most prominent artistic events nationally. This journey continues from summer to summer, driven by the same ambition: to make music a bridge for communication, openness, and shared enjoyment among all.
