Mohammed Saad Barada, the Minister of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports, and the President of the National Commission for Education, Science, and Culture, participated in the Transforming Education Summit (TES+4) held at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris. This significant event brought together ministers and high-level officials from various countries to evaluate the progress made since the UN launched the Transforming Education Summit in 2022.

The opening session of the summit featured prominent figures, including the Director-General of UNESCO, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and the President of South Africa, who serves as the Chair of the High-Level Steering Committee for Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on quality education.

In this context, Minister Barada participated in the second panel discussion, which focused on the theme of "Inclusive Digital Transformations." He was joined by education ministers from France, Finland, Egypt, the Philippines, and the United Arab Emirates, along with representatives from UNESCO, UNICEF, and the International Telecommunication Union. During his address, Barada highlighted Morocco’s experience in digital transformation within the educational system, emphasizing the "Leadership Schools" project as a key initiative aimed at reforming public education. This project seeks to enhance the quality of learning and adapt to digital transformations by leveraging modern technologies and artificial intelligence in the creation and delivery of educational content, as well as strengthening educational support mechanisms.

On the sidelines of the summit, Minister Barada held a bilateral meeting with his Italian counterpart, Giuseppe Valditara, to discuss recent developments in educational reforms in both Morocco and Italy and explore avenues for developing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of digital transformation and artificial intelligence in education.

During this meeting, Barada presented an overview of the fundamental aspects of public school reform in Morocco, with the "Leadership Schools" project being central to this discussion. He outlined associated mechanisms aimed at elevating learning quality, including enhanced tutoring support, tailored teaching methods, regular assessments, and the integration of artificial intelligence applications in educational practices.

This meeting also provided an opportunity for both countries to express their commitment to strengthening educational cooperation through the preparation of a memorandum of understanding in the fields of education and training. Furthermore, Morocco's engagement in international initiatives and forums organized by Italy concerning artificial intelligence and education was reaffirmed, bolstering the exchange of expertise and supporting efforts to enhance the school system and improve educational quality.
