Morocco's Digital Investment Landscape: A Call to Investors

Morocco Opens Its Doors to Digital Investors

In a recent statement, Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch highlighted the country's readiness to welcome investors in the digital sector, underscoring the robust infrastructure, stability, and skilled workforce that Morocco offers. The government has initiated the rollout of 5G technology, aiming to cover 45% of the population by the end of 2026 and 85% by 2030. Additionally, the expansion of fiber optic networks is on track, with subscriptions surpassing 1.4 million by the end of 2025.

During his address, Akhannouch also announced the arrival of a significant investment from a leading company in cloud services, which will establish public cloud service centers in Morocco. This initiative is expected to create over 700 job opportunities for young graduates, enabling them to develop future technologies, including artificial intelligence, for global markets. The Prime Minister reassured digital investors present at the event that Morocco is fully prepared to accommodate their investments, attributing this readiness to a solid institutional stability rooted in visionary royal leadership.

Akhannouch concluded his remarks by emphasizing the government's commitment over the past five years to establish a strong foundation for prioritizing the digital sector, both financially and institutionally. He expressed confidence in Morocco's capabilities, thanks to a new generation of developers, engineers, and entrepreneurs who aspire to make a significant impact on a global scale. The government's vision is to leverage technology as a catalyst for change in people's lives through job creation, project development, and improved access to services.
