FUS Rabat Strengthens Squad with Strategic Signing

The management of FUS Rabat football club has successfully finalized a significant transfer just ahead of the closing of the current summer transfer window, aiming to bolster their squad in preparation for the upcoming football season. The club has acquired the talented Burkinabé international, Wercy Wydrago, a standout player from Rahimo FC, as they seek to enhance their competitive edge.

Wydrago is expected to arrive in Morocco within the coming hours to complete the necessary formalities for his transfer to FUS Rabat. The club initiated negotiations with him right after a recent match that took place at the August 4 Stadium in Ouagadougou, which was part of the preliminary round of the African Champions League.

It is noteworthy that Wydrago had also attracted interest from Wydad AC during the transfer window and had received another offer from a Moldovan club, highlighting his value in the football market.

FUS Rabat recently progressed to the second preliminary round of the African Champions League (2026-2027 season) following a return match against Rahimo FC, which ended in a goalless draw. The Moroccan champions had previously secured a convincing victory in the first leg, winning 4-1 in Fes, demonstrating their strong performance and readiness for the challenges ahead.
