Moroccan Stock Market Performance
On Tuesday, the Moroccan stock market experienced a notable increase, buoyed by significant gains in the Banking, Beverage, and Transport sectors. At the close of trading in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares index surged by 0.72%, indicating a positive trend amidst a backdrop of fluctuating oil prices and ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Impact of Oil Prices on Market Trends
The surge in Moroccan stocks comes at a time when oil prices are hovering above $100 a barrel due to persistent fears surrounding Iranian supply disruptions. As a result, crude oil for May delivery increased by 2.34%, reaching $94.62 per barrel, while Brent oil for the same month rose by 2.26%, hitting $102.47 per barrel. Analysts predict that oil inventories may fall to record lows in April, further influencing market dynamics. In this context, three leading brokers have revised their oil forecasts, reflecting the ongoing volatility in the region.
Despite the mixed performance among individual stocks, overall market sentiment remains optimistic, with rising stocks outnumbering declining ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by a margin of 36 to 13, while 9 stocks remained unchanged. The foreign exchange market also saw slight shifts, with the EUR/MAD up 0.06% to 10.79 and the USD/MAD down 0.21% to 9.37. The US Dollar Index Futures experienced a marginal decline of 0.04%, settling at 99.43.
