Morocco's Enduring Confidence in Russian Energy Engineering
In a recent statement made by Igor Belyaev, the Russian ambassador to Morocco, it has been highlighted that Morocco's trust in Russian energy engineering techniques dates back to the Soviet era. This historical connection began when Soviet equipment was supplied to the Jerada thermal power station, establishing a foundation of reliability and expertise that continues to influence Morocco's energy sector today. Ambassador Belyaev elaborated on this relationship during an interview with RIA Novosti, emphasizing that the Moroccan side fully recognizes the expertise within the Russian energy engineering sector. The company is not only focused on maintaining and upgrading previously supplied equipment but is also eager to participate in new energy projects within the country. This initiative includes offering solutions for the reconstruction of existing thermal and hydroelectric power stations, as well as supplying necessary equipment for the establishment of new energy generation facilities.
