Mobile Health Initiative Enhances Access to Medical Care
On June 19, 2026, a multispecialty medical caravan was successfully organized in the town of Anrki, located in the Azilal region, as part of the mobile health program. This initiative provided essential medical services to a total of 484 individuals, significantly improving healthcare access for the local community and surrounding areas. The event was organized by the regional delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Azilal, in collaboration with local authorities. The primary aim was to enhance the availability of health services for the residents of Anrki and neighboring regions.
The caravan featured the participation of over 20 healthcare professionals and mobilized three specialized mobile units dedicated to ultrasound examinations, dental care, and eye care. In addition, units equipped for transporting medications and medical supplies were also available, ensuring that the caravan could meet diverse health needs effectively.
Throughout the event, a comprehensive range of medical services was provided, including 221 general medical consultations, 57 screenings for early detection of breast and cervical cancer, 72 dental care services, and 43 eye examinations with vision correction. Additionally, 22 ultrasound exams were conducted for pregnant women, 37 vaccinations were administered as part of the national vaccination program, and 32 services were offered within various health programs. This initiative is a significant step toward promoting public health and ensuring that essential medical services are accessible to underserved populations.
