The National Amateur Football League in Algeria is gearing up for a significant meeting scheduled for next Sunday with the presidents of second division amateur clubs, as part of the preparations for the 2026-2027 football season. This crucial gathering will take place at the "New Day" hotel in Hussein Dey and aims to discuss the organizational and administrative arrangements for the upcoming season. Additionally, the meeting will focus on coordinating efforts to ensure that the competitions commence under optimal conditions.
One of the key highlights of the meeting will be the draw for the match schedule of the second division amateur league for the 2026-2027 season, which will be conducted in the presence of club representatives. The league has announced that the mixed zone will be open to journalists immediately after the meeting and draw, starting from 10 AM, providing an opportunity for media personnel to gather necessary statements.
In July, the league announced the formation of the Central-East and Central-West groups for the second division championship. Within the Central-West group, three new clubs have joined: Association Taghit, Union Sidi Mohamed Ben Ali, and Union Blida, alongside two teams relegated from the first division, namely, USM Mistangem and Mouloudia de El-Bayadh.
Meanwhile, the Central-East group has welcomed Union En-Nazla, Chabab Azazga, and Chabab Skikda as newly promoted teams, along with the relegated club Paradou AC from the first division.
The composition of the groups is as follows:
- Central-West Group: Widad Tlemcen, Chabab Tiaret, Union Harrach, USM Mistangem, Widad Mistangem, Association Oran, Amal Wedned, Raed El-Quba, Nasr Hussein Dey, Mouloudia Saida, Mouloudia El-Bayadh, Nasr Qlia, Ghali Mascara, Association Taghit (newcomer), Union Sidi Mohamed Ben Ali (newcomer), and Union Blida (newcomer).
- Central-East Group: Union Chellala, Mouloudia Constantine, Mouloudia Bejaia, Chabab Batna, Paradou AC, Chabab Beni Thour, Najm Telaghma, Najm Magra, Beni Olban Club, Union Annaba, Mouloudia Batna, Chabab Jijel, Association El-Khroub, Union En-Nazla (newcomer), Chabab Azazga (newcomer), and Chabab Skikda (newcomer).
