In a significant operation, the Royal Gendarmerie in the Territorial Center of Tamanarouht successfully apprehended a young man who was wanted nationally due to his suspected involvement in an attempted murder case that occurred in the city of Khouribga. This arrest unfolded when the suspect drew the attention of a gendarmerie patrol while driving a vehicle. Upon conducting a check on the car, it was discovered that it was registered to a rental agency and was listed as stolen. Further investigation revealed that the driver was himself the subject of a search warrant for a serious criminal case.
In coordination with the security services in Marrakech, the suspect was arrested at Marrakech Menara Airport while preparing to leave the country, having benefitted from holding residency documents abroad. Following his arrest, he was transported to the security services in Marrakech before being handed over to the police in Khouribga for further investigation. The suspect is currently under preventive custody while awaiting presentation before the relevant public prosecutor.
