National Rally of Independents Reveals Candidates for 2026 Legislative Elections

The National Rally of Independents (RNI) announced the majority of its candidates for the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for 2026 during a press conference held in Rabat on Friday. The party revealed the names of its endorsed candidates across various regions of the Kingdom, while leaving the final decision on three constituencies in the eastern region—specifically Jerada, Nador, and Oujda Angad—pending as internal consultations are still underway before the final announcement of the candidates.

In terms of regional distribution, the party introduced its candidates in several prominent constituencies within the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, featuring individuals such as Aladdin Bahraoui in Rabat Shalla, Taha Hamani in Rabat Al-Muhit, Omar Al-Azraq in Salé City, Rashid Hamri in Témara, Hatem Ben Rquia in Kénitra, Ahmed Al-Ghazoui in Sidi Kacem, Anwar Sabri in Sidi Slimane, and Abdel Salam Bouairmani in Khmissat Oulmes.

Similarly, in the Casablanca-Settat region, the endorsements included names like Mohamed Chabbak in the Anfa district, Nour Eddine Rafiq in Nouaceur, Yassine Aoukacha in Benslimane, Tawfiq Kamil in Ben M'Sik, Hicham Ait Mana in Mohammedia, Anas Hadadi in Moulay Rachid, Abdel Rahim Outas in Sidi Bernoussi, Idriss Charaibi in Hay Hassani, Yasser Adel in Fida Merza Sultan, Hassan Ben Omar in Ain Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi, Mohamed Ghiyath in Settat, and Rafiq Ben Nasr in El Jadida.

In the Fes-Meknes region, notable candidates included Zeina Shahim in Southern Fes, Tahami Wazzani Tahami in Northern Fes, Ahmed Tahiri in Meknes, Mohamed Chouki in Boulemane, Abdel Khalek Al-Mabrouki in Moulay Yaqub, Najib Al-Zirawi in El Hajeb, Mohamed Salasi in Taounate Tissa, Khalil Al-Sadiqi in Taza, Abdel Razaq Hashimi in Ifrane, and Youssef Mandour in Sefrou.

The party also presented its candidates in the Marrakech-Safi region, featuring names such as Faisal Al-Dardari in Gueliz Al-Nakheel, Abdul Wahid Al-Shafqi in Al-Manara, Rashid Saber in the city center, Tarek Othmani in Essaouira, Karim Zidan in Youssoufia, Ali Al-Ayadi in Al-Rhamna, Marwan Janah in Chichaoua, Said Lakourch in Sidi Youssef Ben Ali, and Al-Mokhtar Benfaida in Qalaat al-Sraghna.

In the Souss-Massa region, the party highlighted candidates like Zeina Idahli in Agadir Idaw Tanane, Nadia Bouhod in Southern Taroudant, Lahsan Al-Sadi in Northern Taroudant, Ismail Karam in Chtouka Ait Baha, Omar Amin in Inzegane Ait Melloul, Abdullah Ghazi in Tiznit, and Mustafa Tadomant in Tata.

For the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, the list included Mustafa Betas in Sidi Ifni, Al-Hussein Harish in Assa-Zag, Nadia Bouaida in Guelmim, and Abdullah Oubarki in Tan-Tan. Meanwhile, the Drâa-Tafilalet region’s nominations featured Hicham Majoud in Tinghir, Marwan Shabatu in Midelt, Al-Hussein Walal in Zagora, Moha Qarawi in Errachidia, and Youssef Shiri in Ouarzazate.

In the Beni Mellal-Khenifra region, the party endorsed candidates such as Saleh Hnine in Fkih Ben Salah, Rashid Mansouri in Azilal-Demnat, Mustafa Reddad in Bzou and Ouaouizguit, Mohamed Bado in Khenifra, Khalid Mansouri in Beni Mellal, and Hamid Al-Arshi in Khouribga.

In the Eastern region, the party announced candidates such as Ridwan Ben Ahmed in Figuig, Abdullah Al-Boukili in Driouch, Idriss Benjidi in Taourirt, Mohamed Sidiqi in Berkane, and Mustafa Tutu in Jerada, while awaiting final decisions on the constituencies of Jerada, Nador, and Oujda Angad.

In the southern provinces, the party nominated Sidi Mohamed Al-Jamani in Smara, Mohamed Ayach in Laayoune, Sidi Ibrahim Khi in Boujdour, and Abdel Hai Hartoun in Tarfaya. Furthermore, the list for the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region included Mohamed Simou in Larache, Amin Benjidi in Ouezzane, Ridwan Najmi in Fahs Anjra, Al-Hussein Al-Aiyashi in Mdiq-Fnideq, Karim Al-Boutahri in Al-Hoceima, Rashid Talbi Al-Alami in Tetouan, Abdul Wahid Al-Shat in Tangier-Assila, and Abdul Rahman Al-Amri in Chefchaouen.

The announced lists featured the presence of several current government officials, as the party decided to field the Minister Delegate for Investment and Evaluation of Public Policies, Karim Zidan, in the Youssoufia district, Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Ahmed Bouari in the Wazan district, and State Secretary for Handicrafts, Social Economy, and Solidarity Lahsan Al-Sadi in the Northern Taroudant district. Additionally, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson Mustafa Betas was nominated in the Sidi Ifni district.

The nominations also included prominent political figures and parliamentarians, such as the party leader Mohamed Chouki in the Boulemane district, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rashid Talbi Al-Alami in the Tetouan district, and Parliamentary Group leader Yassine Aoukacha in the Benslimane district, along with former Agriculture Minister Mohamed Sidqi in the Berkane district.
