New Developments at Iran's Most Dangerous Nuclear Sites
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has recently reported new construction activities and signs of fresh operations at the Iranian site known as "Mount Al-Fas," located south of the Natanz uranium enrichment facility. Rafael Grossi, the Director-General of the IAEA, stated that inspectors have yet to gain access to the heavily fortified tunnel complex within the mountain, although satellite imagery has revealed new movements and activities surrounding the site. Grossi emphasized that the agency lacks verified information regarding the nature of the ongoing activities at Mount Al-Fas.
This development comes after the IAEA's Board of Governors referred the Iranian nuclear issue to the United Nations Security Council, following Tehran's failure to cooperate with investigations into uranium traces found at undeclared sites. The situation at Mount Al-Fas raises significant concerns, as it is increasingly being viewed as one of the most critical nuclear sites in Iran.
