New Leadership at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca
The National Airports Office (ONDA) has officially announced the appointment of El Arbi Es-Sobaihi as the new head of Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. This strategic move comes at a pivotal time as the country's primary airport is undergoing significant transformations to accommodate the increasing air traffic and align with the ambitious "Airports 2030" strategy.
El Arbi Es-Sobaihi, a senior executive at ONDA, brings over two decades of experience in airport operations to his new role. Having previously managed terminal operations and the airport's operational department, he has held a strategic coordination role since 2025, working across various departments within Mohammed V Airport. His contributions have been crucial in launching several key projects, including the operationalization of Terminal 1 in Casablanca.
In his new role, Es-Sobaihi will lead efforts to enhance the airport’s operational performance, improve passenger experience, and support regional development as part of the "Airports 2030" vision. His primary challenge, along with his team, will be to ensure sustainable traffic growth while enhancing performance across all critical indicators, including punctuality, efficiency, quality of service, safety, operational coordination, and passenger satisfaction.
