The General Directorate of National Security has announced a series of new appointments in key positions across various decentralized services, affecting cities such as Berrechid, El Bouraij, El Jadida, Ait Mantenout, Casablanca, Ouislane, Safi, Youssoufia, Meknes, and Marrakech. This significant restructuring was officially approved by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi.

According to a statement from the Directorate, this movement involved 14 key management positions, including the appointment of the Deputy Head of the Provincial Directorate for General Intelligence in Meknes and the Head of the General Intelligence Unit in Berrechid. Additionally, six officials have been assigned to lead police districts in Marrakech, Ait Mantenout, El Jadida, Safi, Youssoufia, and Meknes.

Notably, this round of appointments also saw a female security officer taking charge of a police district in El Jadida, alongside the designation of officials to lead other public security services, which includes three heads of traffic accident units in Ouislane, Meknes, and Casablanca, as well as two heads of road traffic units in El Bouraij and Marrakech.

According to the same source, these appointments are part of an ongoing effort to reinforce the capabilities of the security services with qualified professional competencies. This initiative aims to implement a security strategy focused on enhancing the sense of safety, improving police services, and developing the overall performance of security institutions.
