These improvements included optimizing public lighting, streamlining access routes around the bridge, enhancing signage, and elevating the overall architectural quality of the infrastructure. In the past, the AAVB allocated a budget of 13.4 million dirhams for maintenance and renovation efforts related to the Hassan II Bridge, which has been pivotal in improving traffic flow and reducing congestion between Rabat and Salé since its inauguration in 2011. Stretching 1.2 kilometers across the Bouregreg estuary, this bridge not only facilitates transportation but also contributes to environmental protection and serves as a recreational area for the public alongside the river.
