Inauguration of Tafilalet Clinic: A New Era of Healthcare in Meknes

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, the healthcare landscape of Meknes witnessed a significant enhancement with the inauguration of the Tafilalet Clinic. This new medical facility aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services adhering to the latest standards, marking a pivotal moment in the city’s medical offerings. The official ceremony was presided over by the governor of Meknes, accompanied by a formal delegation that included the president of the Fes-Meknes Region, the mayor of Meknes, the head of the Meknes Provincial Council, as well as several parliamentarians, elected officials, and prominent civil and military figures.

In an exclusive statement to Meknes Press, Dr. Younes Misbahi, the clinic's director and a specialist in anesthesia and resuscitation, emphasized that the opening of this new healthcare institution is part of a broader initiative to enhance healthcare services in Meknes. The clinic is designed to provide high-quality medical and therapeutic services that meet the expectations of the local population while keeping pace with the advancements in the national healthcare system. It also aims to bring medical services closer to citizens and alleviate the pressure on other healthcare institutions.

Dr. Misbahi further elaborated that the clinic boasts a medical and nursing staff composed of specialists from various medical and surgical disciplines, along with modern equipment and advanced technologies that ensure optimal patient care. This is aimed at guaranteeing the quality of services provided and the safety of patients.

Following the inauguration ceremony, the governor of Meknes and the accompanying delegation toured the various facilities of the clinic. They explored the medical and treatment units, as well as the reception areas, and became acquainted with the team and the advanced technical and medical equipment available in the facility.

The Tafilalet Clinic is built on a total area of 2,240 square meters, comprising a basement, a ground floor, and two upper floors. The total investment allocated for this healthcare project amounts to approximately 65 million dirhams. Conveniently located, the clinic is set to significantly contribute to the healthcare needs of the Meknes community, establishing itself as a key player in the local medical field.
