The Moroccan Ministry of Transportation and Logistics has announced significant initiatives for the road transport sector set to commence in 2026. These initiatives include the launch of both a Safe Bus Program and a Vehicle Fleet Renewal Program aimed at enhancing public transport services in rural areas, as well as improving goods transportation and vehicle recovery services, along with driving instruction.
According to an official statement from the ministry, the launch of these programs will be facilitated through the electronic platform tajdid-hadira.narsa.gov.ma, which will operate in two distinct phases. The first phase is scheduled to begin on June 1, 2026, when the registration process will open on the aforementioned platform for companies wishing to benefit from grants allocated for 2026 under both the Safe Bus Program and the Vehicle Fleet Renewal Program. This registration is specifically for companies that do not currently possess an active account to access the platform.
The second phase will commence on June 15, 2026, during which requests for vehicle renewal and scrapping will be accepted through the same platform. The ministry's announcement further clarifies that accounts created before June 1, 2026, on the specified platform will remain valid, allowing companies to utilize these accounts to submit new requests for 2026 starting from the aforementioned second phase.
It is also important to note that any requests submitted on the platform prior to the issuance of this announcement, which did not receive financial commitment, are considered void. Therefore, the applicants must submit new requests via the electronic platform as specified. The ministry emphasized that the relevant departments at the National Road Safety Agency and the road transport services under the Ministry of Transportation and Logistics will be available to support professionals in successfully implementing these programs.
