Baraka made it clear that financial support alone is insufficient to improve living conditions. He outlined the party's approach, which focuses on supporting each family by training women and youth and enabling them to market their products through digital platforms. The goal is to eradicate poverty within five years, aligning with principles of economic and social equity and equal opportunities. He expressed concern over declining marriage rates, falling birth rates, and increasing divorce rates, indicating a need for a regional program to support families. This initiative aims to enhance family mediation within courts, involve notaries in awareness campaigns, and provide financial assistance to young people under thirty who wish to marry.
As he spoke to a gathering of party members, Baraka emphasized the Istiqlal Party's profound connection to Fes, praising candidates for their resilience in preserving the party's banner during challenging times. He acknowledged the city's rich national heritage, highlighting the legacy of the late leader Allal El Fassi and other leaders who fought for national liberation. Baraka stressed that this heritage is not merely an electoral asset but a responsibility towards the people of Fes, necessitating a commitment to honoring the past while actively contributing to future development.
To restore economic attractiveness, Baraka underscored the need to rebuild investor confidence and create job opportunities, leveraging infrastructure projects that would position Fes as a central hub connecting the north and south, as well as the east and west of the country. He noted that hosting the World Cup matches in Fes represents an additional opportunity to accelerate these initiatives.
