Norwegian Tourist Found Safe After Disappearance in Morocco

On Tuesday, July 28, law enforcement officials in Agadir, in coordination with their counterparts in Marrakech, successfully located a 34-year-old Norwegian citizen who had been reported missing by his family during his vacation in Morocco. The search was initiated after the tourist failed to board his scheduled flight back to Norway, and his family lost contact with him.

The National Security services in Marrakech received a notification from the family, prompting an immediate and thorough investigation. This collaborative effort, which included extensive searches in Agadir, led authorities to discover that the missing tourist was residing in a hotel in Agadir. Fortunately, he had not suffered any harm, nor were there any indications of criminal activity related to his absence.

The individual was subsequently referred to the local judicial police in Agadir to complete the necessary procedures for the family's inquiry, which included notifying his relatives in Norway about the outcome of the search.

This incident serves as a reminder that sometimes, travelers may experience personal issues that lead to unforeseen circumstances. In this case, it appears that the tourist may have simply missed his flight due to personal reasons, perhaps enjoying the warm climate of Marrakech a little too much and opting to stay longer in Agadir, thus neglecting to inform his family.
