Upcoming Train Service Modifications by ONCF

The National Office of Railways (ONCF) has officially communicated that temporary adjustments to train schedules will be implemented over the coming weeks. This initiative is part of the ongoing progress on the Kenitra-Marrakech High-Speed Line (LGV) and concurrent work on conventional rail lines. These alterations, necessitated by the advancement of construction projects, are designed to ensure optimal safety while maintaining service continuity for passengers. The ONCF has emphasized its commitment to delivering these modifications under the best possible conditions.

The adjustments will occur in two distinct phases. The first phase will involve specific changes on September 5 and 6, 2026. Scheduled work from Saturday, September 5 at 11:00 PM to Sunday, September 6 at 11:00 PM will necessitate alterations in train services for various routes. To facilitate uninterrupted travel for affected passengers, ONCF will implement alternative solutions and connection services, which include the following: for the El Jadida route, train services will be limited to Bouskoura with connections to Al Atlas trains; the Settat service will be temporarily suspended, redirecting passengers to Al Atlas trains; the airport train service will also be suspended, replaced by Supratours bus shuttles; the direct train between Safi and Casablanca will be halted; trains to Khouribga will be limited to Berrechid with connections to Al Atlas trains; and delays and adjustments in travel times for Al Atlas trains are expected.

During this period, ONCF will enhance its information and assistance services to keep passengers well-informed, guide them effectively, and facilitate their travel plans.

Further Transport Plans and Schedule Changes

The second phase of adjustments is scheduled to commence on September 14, 2026. Following an initial phase that began on September 15, 2025, the LGV Kenitra-Marrakech construction will enter a new stage. This updated transport plan aims to align train operations with construction constraints while ensuring service continuity and minimizing the impact on passenger travel. Specifically, the plan includes adaptations to certain routes, modifications to schedules, travel limitations, and the gradual closure of specific stations, including the Faculties station and the Ennassim station.

To enable passengers to plan their journeys effectively, ONCF will provide detailed information on all adjustments and their impacts on various routes starting from the week of September 7, 2026. Additional information and support services will be made available at train stations, onboard trains, and through ONCF's digital channels to ensure that passengers receive clear and up-to-date information.
