The National Office of Railways (ONCF) has initiated a significant tender worth 104 million dirhams aimed at connecting three electric substation facilities. This project marks a critical technical step in the extension of the high-speed train line towards Marrakech.
According to available data, the ONCF, through its LGV Projects Division, plans to connect these three strategic stations to the 225-kilovolt network of the Office National de l'Électricité et de l'Eau Potable (ONEE). This connection is essential to ensure a continuous supply of electrical power to the future railway segment.
The construction activities will take place across three primary regions: Benslimane, Settat, and Ben Guerir. In Benslimane, a 16-kilometer electrical line will be laid, while overhead lines extending 18 and 19 kilometers will be established from the sub-stations in Settat and Ben Guerir to power the facilities.
The total budget for this project has been set at 104 million dirhams, excluding taxes. The selected contractor or contractors will be granted a timeframe of up to 14 months to complete the high-voltage works, which will include the installation of single circuit lines.
