Understanding Future Customers: ONCF's Strategic Initiative
The National Office of Railways (ONCF) in Morocco is embarking on a significant initiative aimed at deeply understanding its future clientele amid ongoing expansions of its rail network. This initiative includes a comprehensive national study that will engage approximately 11,000 respondents. The primary objective of this study is to model travel behaviors, evaluate pricing scenarios, and foresee shifts in transportation modes. By doing so, ONCF aims to build a transportation system that aligns with the evolving urban dynamics of the region.
Aiming for Triple Growth by 2030
With an ambitious goal set for 2030, ONCF is targeting a threefold increase in passenger numbers. This plan involves the introduction of suburban metropolitan trains that will serve key urban areas including Rabat, Casablanca, Kenitra, Tangier, and Marrakech. By enhancing connectivity within these populous regions, ONCF hopes to significantly boost its ridership and provide a more efficient travel experience for its customers. This proactive approach not only addresses current transportation needs but also anticipates future demands as urban populations grow and change.
