Significant Increase in Passenger Traffic at Fès-Saïs Airport

According to the latest reports from the National Office of Airports, Fès-Saïs Airport has experienced a remarkable surge in passenger numbers during the first seven months of 2026. The airport recorded a total of 1,104,486 passengers, compared to approximately 1,103,641 travelers during the same period last year. This slight increase of 0.08% indicates a steady growth in air travel and reflects the airport's ongoing development and enhanced connectivity.

In July alone, the airport welcomed 168,757 passengers, marking a 1.53% rise from the 166,214 passengers recorded in July 2025. This uptrend underscores Fès-Saïs Airport's vital role in facilitating travel and tourism in the region.

However, when analyzing aircraft movements, there was a slight decline in operations at Fès-Saïs Airport. During the first seven months of this year, the airport handled 7,472 aircraft movements, down from 7,530 movements in the same timeframe last year, reflecting a decrease of 0.77%. Nevertheless, July showed a positive development, with 1,194 aircraft movements compared to 1,150 in July 2025, which is an increase of 3.83%.

On a national scale, Moroccan airports collectively recorded a total of 22,282,997 passengers by the end of July 2026, representing an impressive growth of 8.77% compared to the same period in 2025, when 20,487,074 passengers were logged. Notably, in July alone, Moroccan airports received approximately 3,450,846 travelers, showcasing the robust recovery of the aviation sector in the country.
