In a heartwarming initiative, children from Al-Quds recently visited the National Zoological Garden in Rabat as part of their annual summer camp organized by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency. This enriching experience took place on Saturday, August 18, as part of the camp's 17th edition, which runs from August 12 to 26 under the esteemed High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, the Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, according to statements from the National Zoological Garden.

The primary objective of this summer camp is to promote cultural exchange and foster interactions between Palestinian children and their Moroccan counterparts. Through a series of educational and cultural activities, the initiative aims to cultivate mutual understanding and shared experiences among the youth. During their visit to the zoo, the children had the opportunity to explore its diverse areas, observe a variety of iconic animal species, and engage in activities tailored to their age group.

This outing was not merely a recreational activity; it served as a crucial learning opportunity centered on biodiversity, environmental conservation, and the rich natural heritage of Morocco and Africa. The National Zoological Garden of Rabat is dedicated to the preservation of biodiversity, environmental education, and the promotion of wildlife heritage, both locally and globally. Housing over 2,000 animals representing approximately 170 species, the zoo provides a plethora of educational, scientific, and recreational experiences suitable for visitors of all ages.

Initiated in 2008 under the High Patronage of HM the King, the annual summer camp for children from Al-Quds stands as one of the significant social and educational programs of the BMAQ Agency. Its mission is to enhance the skills and capabilities of children and adolescents while simultaneously promoting cultural exchange. This year’s camp has brought together 50 children aged between 11 and 14, featuring visits to various Moroccan cities and historical sites, alongside a range of artistic, sporting, and educational activities.
