PAM Secures Lead in Marrakech Districts
The Party of Authenticity and Modernity (PAM) has emerged as the frontrunner in the preliminary and near-final election results from the three electoral districts within the Marrakech region, notably outpacing both the Justice and Development Party (PJD) and the Independence Party. This decisive performance illustrates PAM's growing influence in the political landscape of Morocco.
In the Menara district, where the counting has reached 97.31%, PAM garnered a total of 15,419 votes, putting them firmly in the lead. Following PAM, the PJD secured 13,139 votes, while the Independence Party came in third with 9,374 votes. This trend of PAM's dominance continued in the Gueliz district, where with 91.71% of votes counted, they achieved 13,336 votes, again outperforming the PJD, which received 10,114 votes. The Independence Party trailed in third, and the National Rally of Independents (RNI) secured fourth place with 5,416 votes.
Moreover, in the city district, nearing the completion of the counting process at 97.59%, PAM maintained its leading position with 12,596 votes. The Independence Party followed in second place, while the PJD placed third with 6,700 votes. These results are still awaiting the final official announcement and the allocation of parliamentary seats, which could further shape the political dynamics in the region.
