Strengthening Franco-Moroccan Security Ties
In a significant display of diplomatic rapport, French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu commended the "excellent level" of security and judicial cooperation between France and Morocco during a session in Paris on Wednesday. Addressing questions posed to the government by the Senate, Lecornu highlighted the robust nature of the relationship with Moroccan partners, expressing satisfaction with the ongoing collaboration in various domains.
This occasion also marked the presence of a Moroccan parliamentary delegation, which attended the Senate's proceedings upon the invitation of Christian Cambon, the head of the French-Moroccan friendship group. The visit underscores the dynamic nature of bilateral relations, particularly in the realm of parliamentary diplomacy, which has seen increased engagement between the two nations.
On the previous day, the Moroccan delegation, led by Mohamed Zaydouh, head of the Morocco-France parliamentary friendship group in the House of Councillors, conducted a series of meetings in Strasbourg with members of the European Parliament. Additionally, discussions were held with Dubravka Šuica, the European Commissioner for the Mediterranean region, further reinforcing the collaborative spirit that characterizes Franco-Moroccan relations.
