On May 18, 2026, the Justice and Development Party (PJD) announced the endorsement of candidates for nine regional electoral districts and ten local districts, in preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for September 23, 2026. This announcement was made during a meeting held on May 16, 2026, chaired by the party's Secretary-General, Abdelilah Benkirane, where the names of the candidates were deliberated and finalized in accordance with the party's statutory provisions and internal regulations.

The official statement from the party indicated that the regional endorsements included notable figures such as Hind Al-Bayki for the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, Al-Haja Rukbi for the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region, Fatima Zahra Kouis for the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, and several others across various regions including Marrakech-Safi and Beni Mellal-Khenifra. The local candidates endorsed include Abdelhalim Allawi from Bouznika, Mohamed Bakiri from Agadir-Ida Ou Tanane, and Yahya Ait Jdida from Smara, among others.

The party emphasized that the ranking of additional candidates on the electoral lists will be determined later, following the established organizational procedures and in consultation with relevant party bodies at regional and provincial levels. This strategic move is part of PJD's efforts to strengthen its representation and ensure a robust electoral campaign leading to the forthcoming legislative elections.
