According to a security source, the arrest of the suspect occurred after he caught the attention of a police patrol. Upon noticing the officers, he attempted to flee to an unknown location; however, the security personnel managed to corner and apprehend him at the scene. The subsequent search and seizure operation conducted on the suspect revealed a significant cache of illegal substances, including 10 pieces of 'shira' (hashish) and 16 psychoactive pills, which were hidden and intended for distribution. Following this, the suspect was taken to the police precinct for further legal proceedings.
The detained individual is now under police custody, pending an investigation led by the competent public prosecutor's office. This inquiry aims to uncover all circumstances surrounding this case and to identify the source of these narcotic materials, as part of ongoing security efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
In related news, a young woman from Marrakech impersonated a police officer ('bilout') and defrauded several young women in Rabat.
