Police Officer Suspended Amid Serious Allegations
The General Directorate of National Security has enacted a temporary suspension for a police officer holding the rank of "Mouqaddim" in the Marrakech Security Department. This decision comes in light of allegations regarding the officer's involvement in a criminal case that is currently under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office.
According to a security source, the police in Marrakech initiated a judicial inquiry following a complaint lodged by the guardian of a 16-year-old minor, who accused the officer of luring his son and subjecting him to sexual assault. The accused officer has been subjected to judicial procedures, which were carried out under the supervision of the relevant public prosecutor's office. He was subsequently referred to justice in custody on August 30.
In conjunction with the ongoing judicial process, which is overseen by the relevant judicial authorities, the decision for temporary suspension was issued to ensure the proper enforcement of the law for any officer found guilty of committing crimes punishable by law. This action reflects the national police's commitment to uphold legal standards and maintain public trust in law enforcement.
