Police Crackdown on Prostitution in Marrakech
In a significant law enforcement operation on Monday evening, officers from the Urban Police of the first security district in Gueliz, Marrakech, arrested six women suspected of operating a prostitution ring from an apartment. This action was initiated following meticulous field investigations that pinpointed the location of the apartment, leading to a successful raid and the apprehension of five young women alongside a woman believed to have been managing client recruitment and mediation activities.
According to preliminary reports, the suspects utilized the platform "Afri Baba" to post advertisements targeting potential clients. During the search conducted at the apartment, authorities seized various medical condoms and a quantity of hashish. The arrested individuals have been placed under police custody as mandated by the public prosecutor’s office, pending further investigations to uncover all aspects of the case and identify any potential networks associated with this illicit activity.
